On the 4 January, The Department for Transport (DfT) and Hertfordshire County Council launched a public consultation on plans to increase the frequency of services on the rail route between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey (the ‘Abbey Line’).
The Met Office is forecasting a return to freezing temperatures this week (February 8), with the potential for further sleet and snow showers. If the weather does worsen, the county council is expecting to operate services as normal.
